Secret Duo therefore combines two technologies: gold-plated micro needles carry radiofrequency energy to a controlled depth in the dermis, while a fractional laser renews the quality of the surface. Treating depth and surface in the same session gives a more complete response than either method alone. The insulation of the needles is the critical feature: energy is released only at the tip, at the targeted depth, not along the shaft.
